The O’Hara Law Firm is proud to announce that it obtained a judgment against ACCC Insurance Company on behalf of a client. Patrick O’Hara’s client was hit by another driver insured by ACCC Insurance Company. The other driver was clearly at fault. The insurance company attempted to avoid coverage by claiming another person not insured by ACCC Insurance Company was driving the car that hit Plaintiff instead of its insured. The police report and photographs revealed that ACCC Insurance Company’s claim was false.
A judge awarded compensation to the Plaintiff for her economic and non-economic damages. In addition, the judge ordered the insurance company to pay punitive damages for its fraudulent conduct. The total judgment is for over $30,000 (Case expenses are $555, and attorneys’ fees are approximately $9,825).
ACCC Insurance Company is notorious for underpaying claims when its insured drivers negligently harm others. Instead of providing fair compensation to people injured by drivers insured by ACCC Insurance Company, ACCC Insurance Company routinely makes low ball offers. Victims are forced to either accept the unreasonably low offer or file a lawsuit against the other driver insured by ACCC.
